VVIP, Stonebwoy, Gasmilla, Efya & more for Vodafone Unity Concert slated for Friday June 10th

They say when music hits you, you feel no pain. That’s true but there is something better than the experience you get when you hear good music, singing along with your favorite musicians and football stars. Yes!! The month you have been hearing about is here, June is bringing us all the fun, excitement and passion we can ever dream off. 

June’s excitement comes in three bundles of joy: first joy is the first leg of the much anticipated gathering of football legends in a match for unity between Stephen Appiah XI and Kumasi Asante Kotoko. 

The second bundle of joy is the second leg of the Vodafone Ghana sponsored unity match between the star-studded Stephen Appiah XI and the Ghana Black Stars. In between these two bundles of joy, football will meet music at the Vodafone Unity Concert.


VGMA E.L wins ‘Artiste of the Year’ & (Winners List)


‘Koko’ hitmaker E.L has won the coveted Artiste of the Year award at the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

E.L, born Elom Adablah, beat competition from Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Stonebwoy, VVIP and SP Kofi Sarpong to pick up the prestigious award at the ceremony held at the International Conference Center on Saturday.

Code 1084 Launch "A Taste of Summer 2016"

Following their hugely successful and much talked about “Spring Break 2016” event held earlier this year Code1084 are back to ensure you make the most of the Spring Bank Holiday.

Shatta Wale, Pappy Kojo, E.L, Flavour, Olamide, Harry Song, Mr. Eazi for Ghana Meets Naija 2016

Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale will lead Ghanaian artistes when they ‘face’ Nigerian artistes during this year’s Ghana Meets Naija.

Pappy Kojo, E.L, and Mr. Eazi will be in the ‘Red, Gold and Green corner’ whilst Flavour, Olamide and Harry Song represent Nigeria.

One of the most looked forward to events on the Ghanaian entertainment calendar,  it pitches Ghanaian artistes against Nigerian artistes in a musical competition.

The sixth edition of the event will held at the Accra International Conference Center. Ghana Meets Naija is powered by Empire Entertainment and sponsored by Tigo.



Reggie N Bollie talk X Factor UK, Simon Cowell on Live FM

Reggie n Bollie,  X Factor UK  2015 finalist  were special guests on Live Breakfast Club on Live FM this morning. The duo spoke about their experiences at the reality show, shooting their first music video in Ghana, signing to Simon Cowell’s Syco Music, amongst other issues.

efore Reggie Zippy and Bollie made it to the world stage as finalists on the reality music show, X Factor UK, they were champions in their own rights, boasting quite a number of hits songs on the Ghanaian music industry.

Early 2015, the two decided to work together and change their musical fortunes after a long break. They auditioned at Britain’s Got Talent but didn’t make the mark.

They decided to give music another shot, this time on X Factor UK. They impressed the judges and made it as one of 12 contestants, ultimately making it to the finale.


I'm working to improve my 'poor' stage performance - Bisa Kdei

'Brother brother' hitmaker Bisa Kdei has finally self-confessed that his performance on stage sucks and it’s just terrible.

Bisa Kdei has been heavily criticised for sometime now because his poor performance on stage.

When asked by Sammy Forson on Live Fm how he would react to criticism that his stage performance sucks. He disclosed that Francophone countries love his performance to the maximum but here in Ghana, it’s different response altogether and that he has heard all those complaining and he is working on improving his performance.


Sonnie Badu advises young musicians to invest correctly

Super talented gospel musician Sonnie Badu has advised young artistes to invest their monies in right places.

The Ghanaian UK based musician in a recent Instagram post stated that the youngsters should invest their hard earned monies right.

Over the years, Ghanaian entertainers or showbiz persons have been in the news for retiring broke or dying poor. Just recently Bob Okala, Nkomode, former president of the Ghana Actors Guild Nii Odoi Mensah and some musicians were reported of being broke at the end of their careers.

Usually, the cause of their unfortunate situation traces down to riotous living, wrong priorities and lack of investments during their hay days. Therefore, Sonnie Badu’s comment came right in time.


Reggie N Bollie On Their Way Home

Fans of Ghanaian music duo Reggie N Bollie will get the opportunity to see them in Ghana following their second place win at the Xfactor UK.
Cypress Ghana was informed of their decision to travel to Ghana late Monday evening.
The duo confirmed the news Tuesday morning on twitter expressing their joy to come back home.
According to the source , the group convinced their management to allow them shoot their first music video in their motherland - Ghana.
Reggie N Bollie on twitter said “Ghana We’re coming home! We’re going to be shooting our debut music video in our home town & we’re so excited! “.

They later pleaded with Ghanaians to support them during their stay in the country for the music video shoot.

They are Signed on to entertainment magnate and judge of the X Factor UK music reality show, Simon Cowell’s label.

Sad news: KOD loses father

Sad reports from the home of Kofi Okyere Darko otherwise called KOD revealed that the presenter and fashion icon has lost his dad.

He was 85 and died early Wednesday, according to a family source.

“Sleep well dad…Love you,” KOD confirmed the sad news on his whatsApp status this morning.

Afia Schwarzenegger To Return To Okay FM After ‘Medical Leave’

Afia Schwarzenegger’s latest post her Instagram page suggests that the reason for absence  on Okay FM was due to a medical vacation, whatever that means!



“Dear Schwaralewas This is to remind you that I am still an employee of Despite group of companies and we are on till 2020…please pay no attention to unemployed haters whose only achievement is talking about me…your truly is on a medical vacation and we are coming back with a well packaged #yewokrom. #OKAYFM#101.7#”.



There were growing speculation that Afia Schwarzenegger has been shown the exit door by Despite Group of Companies.  However credible information Nkonkonsa.com is gathering indicates that Afia is on her way back with her controversial mid-morning radio show on Okay101.7FM “Yewo krom”, and possibly with her ever popular “Kokooko” comic TV show on UTV.
